For Season 4 of Game of Thrones, we got people to fight each other for the throne. Well, not the Iron Throne, but a seat at the preview screening that'd be held 3 days before the global release date.

All they had to do is pick a house, and they'd get a group of five soldiers to command. They could then fight against people from different houses online. The more people they beat, the higher their score.

There were also multiple side quests - both online, and in the real world - that they could complete to strengthen their soldiers.
